Town of Mars Hill

Mars Hill Christmas Parade takes place Saturday, December 7 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Mars Hill, NC.

Silent Auction & Christmas Performance hosted by Bailey Mountain Cloggers takes place Saturday, December 7 from 3-6 p.m. at Mars Hill University. The auction will begin at 3 p.m. in the lobby of Moore Auditorium. The performance will begin at 5 p.m. Tickets are $5.

 

 

Marshall

11th Annual Marshall Handmade Market takes place Saturday & Sunday, November 23 & 24 in the old school on Blannahassett Island in Marshall, NC. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. the sunny auditorium is filled with some of the most talented makers in Western North Carolina. The resident artists of Marshall High open their doors to share their art with visitors. Grab some bites from the food truck and relax on the back deck, or stop for coffee and sweet treats in the upstairs lounge. Come enjoy a delightful day of handcrafted holiday shopping!

The beautiful and moving Live Presentation of the Nativity takes place Friday & Saturday, December 6 & 7 at 6:30 p.m. in front of the courthouse in Marshall, NC. The “Glorious Night of Miracles” features live cast members, animals, and music depicting the birth of Jesus.

The Madison Mistletoe Market takes place Saturday, December 7 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 5738 US-70 in Marshall. Get all your holiday shopping done under one roof!

Jingle Mingle on Main takes place Friday, December 13 from 4-10 p.m. in Downtown Marshall. Come out for a night filled with music, art and holiday fun! A variety of local performers will fill the air with music and cheer in several downtown establishments. The Madison County Arts Council Holiday Sale will offer a Friday night ‘Jingle Mingle’ sale event featuring local artists from 4-8 p.m. at The Madison County Arts Council (90 South Main Street). An Ugly Sweater Strut at Zuma Coffee begins at 6:30 p.m., so wear your worst! Please sign up outside of Zuma prior to the strut. Plus: Window Decorating Contest, music by the Brush Creek Elementary School Choir on the Court House Steps, Santa, and so much more fun! More details at www.facebook.com/events.

Marshall’s Christmas Parade takes place Saturday, December 14 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in Downtown Marshall, NC. “Just Christmas” is this years theme. Entry forms are available on the Town’s website or Town Hall. Please call 649-3031 for more information.

Memaw & Me Movie Matinee takes place on Sunday, December 22 from 3-5 p.m. This free event takes place on select Sunday afternoons so Grannies and grandkids can have quality cuddle time. Of course it’s not limited to the grandparents; bring the whole family down for a free kid’s movie & snacks. Held at Marshall Presbyterian. Refreshments will be served.

 

 

Hot Springs

The Spring Creek Christmas Bazaar takes place Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m until 2 p.m. at the Spring Creek Community Center, 13075 NC 209 Hwy in Hot Springs, NC. Lots of family fun and live music! Come out and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Hot Springs Parade and Celebration takes place on Saturday, December 7 at 3 p.m. Find your seat downtown and help usher in the reason for the season with marching bands, floats, police cars, fire trucks, hopefully the Grinch, festive decorations, and fun for the whole family. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there, too! Following the parade there will be live music, local market vendors as well as arts and crafts that will surround the downtown area spreading wonderful Christmas cheer as we await the lighting ceremony. The countdown to the lighting will begin at 5:45 p.m., lighting up the local shops and homes as well as our town tree and the wonderful remembrance tree. Everyone will turn on the Christmas lights at 6 p.m. Come watch beautiful colors fill the night sky to celebrate the season!

 

Weaverville

Weaverville Tailgate Winter Market takes place Wednesday, December 4 from 1-5:30 p.m. at Honey & the Hive, 23 Merrimon Ave. in Weaverville, NC. Great music, crafts, and food from local vendors.

Annual Christmas Parade takes place Saturday, December 7 from 1-3:30 p.m. The parade begins at 1 p.m. and will proceed from North Buncombe Middle School down Main Street to Yost Street in Weaverville, NC. Make plans to enjoy the fun and festivities of the holiday season!

2nd Annual Winter in the Weave Holiday Pop-up Shop takes place Friday, December 13 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, December 14 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The 2 day holiday market event features 20 local artists and small businesses. Held at Gotta Have It Antiques, 60 Monticello Rd. in Weaverville.

 

Burnsville

10th Annual Christmas Extravaganza takes place Saturday, November 30 from 10 AM until 2 p.m. at the Burnsville Town Center, 6 S. Main Street in Burnsville, NC. Free admission! Over 30 vendors! Something for everyone including handmade items, make-up, clothing, jewelry, candles, pottery, and so much more.

Santa Night at the Burnsville Town Center takes place Friday, December 6 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Burnsville Town Center, 6 S. Main Street in Burnsville, NC. Pictures with Santa, hot chocolate, and plenty of fun and games for the entire family!

Burnsville Christmas Parade takes place Saturday, December 7 from 1-3 p.m. on Main Street.

A Very Merry Main Street takes place Friday, December 13 from 5-9 p.m. hosted by the Yancey Chamber of Commerce, 106 W. Main Street in Burnsville. a magical evening to celebrate Christmas on Main Street. Christmas Carols, hot cocoa, great local shopping, and visits with friends and neighbors.
