Madison County’s first Annual Ferment Festival will take place from 2-6pm on Sunday, November 5th, 2017 at the NC Cooperative Extension Office in Marshall.
Come share in a celebration of the unique and diverse culture of Marshall, Madison County, and the WNC region. Join us as we honor each other and the land in support of fermentation, food preservation, farming, and food stability in Madison County. All profits from the festival will be donated to the Beacon of Hope Food Bank.
Vendors Needed!
The cost for a full 10 x 10 booth is $20. Vendors may share a booth, just note this on your application. There will be no refund of your payment, except in the case of an emergency or hardship. This is the link to the application.
Vendors will be admitted at noon on Sunday to begin set up by 2pm. We ask that no booths break down before 6pm. Please place trash cans at your booth to help cut down on cleaning fees. During the last hour, those who want to hold a half-price sale or “clearance” to move inventory are encouraged to do so. The festival also feature demonstrations by local vendors. All fermenting demonstrators are required to submit the recipe being demonstrated for a Ferment Recipe Booklet, which will be offered for sale at the event.
All proceeds from the festival will go to hosting the event; all profits will be donated to the Beacon of Hope Food Bank. If you would like to be a demonstrator, or be highlighted, please email Meg at fermentifoods@gmail.com.
Sponsors are also sought! All sponsors will be featured on the event flyer and highlighted on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Sponsors names will also be added to calendar listings and on press releases.
