Land of Sky is coordinating the work of a regional steering committee to create a new 5-year Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for a four-county region (Madison, Transylvania, Henderson, Buncombe).
The CEDS document lays out regional economic development strategies and is frequently referenced when applying for Federal grants. Federal grants for economic development related activities frequently give weight to (or require) proposals that fall under the priorities identified in the CEDS.
Below is a link to a brief survey assessing economic needs and priorities from each county that will be used by the steering committee as they start to develop the new 5-year plan over the next few months.
Community input from Madison County is needed. The deadline for participation is Monday, March 23, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.
