The NC Guardian ad Litem Program is seeking volunteer advocates to represent abused and neglected children in Yancey, Mitchell and Madison Counties.
A new volunteer training session will begin in Yancey County on November 13. Classes will be held at the First Baptist Church on Town Square on Tuesdays from 1-4 pm. Participants from Mitchell and Madison Counties are strongly encouraged to participate as there are many children who still do not have a volunteer assigned to them.
