There is no shortage of fun and educational old-time music activities in the area this summer.
Wan to improve your fiddle-tune flatpicking? Interested in learning some flatfooting steps? What about country duet singing? If the answer is yes, be sure to check out two music camps being offered by Mars Hill University this summer – both feature classes for different levels, and those classes are taught by some of the country’s most renowned old-time musicians, such as Paul Brown and Alice Gerrard.
