Do You Have Access to the Internet? How Fast Is It?
What do a Christmas tree farmer, small business owner, Madison High School student, and Madison County resident all have in common?
They each need access to high quality internet. The Madison County Broadband Committee is actively working to improve internet access in each area of the County. In order to increase services, we need your assistance. Please take this simple survey — at each of the locations you access the internet. The survey was created by the North Carolina Department of Information Technology, and it will ask you a few questions and automatically record your current internet speeds.
Take the survey at investinmadison.com/SURVEY.
If you don’t have access to internet, please complete the survey using a phone. Residents can text message “internet” to 919-750-0553. Standard text messaging rates will apply. If your cellular service is poor, you do not have texting capability, or only landline phone service, please call the same number to register the fact that you do not have service at all.
The survey is a collaboration between Madison County’s Community and Economic Development Department, Madison County’s Broadband Committee, N.C. Department of Information Technology’s Broadband Infrastructure Office and the Friday Institute for Education Innovation at North Carolina State University.
