Longtime Chamber member, Mountain Magnolia Inn, will be closing its doors on April 30th, 2021.
Letter from Karen Nagle:
Dear Friends,
I am writing this to inform you that the Mountain Magnolia Inn will be closing its doors on April 30th, 2021. After more than 22 years of creating and operating the Inn it is time for me to slow down and “retire.” I made this decision early last year and put the Inn on the market in March, just days before we learned of the devastating pandemic that has affected the entire world. It was definitely my intention that this very special property would continue as a country inn and wedding/special event venue that Pete and I created, managed, and loved since its opening in 1999. However, with the Covid-19 pandemic raging onward the sale of this type of business is just is not forthcoming.
When I was presented an offer that will make the property a private residence I was very conflicted and it was a very emotional decision, but one I knew I had to make for my personal health and financial security. It has been very difficult managing things since Pete’s untimely death in 2017 and I look forward to living out my later years peacefully.
So many memories have been made at the Mountain Magnolia Inn for me and my family and for those of you who have loved this place. Friendships have formed, engagements have occurred, weddings have been celebrated, families have gathered and this property has brought much joy to many. This property has a very special spirit of its own and I am sure that will not change.
I hope that many of you will be able to schedule a visit before the end of April and I hope that you know how much my family has appreciated your patronage over the years and all the wonderful people we have met. I wish that we were able to host a closing party but the pandemic will prevent that from happening unfortunately.
May we look forward to a healthy and better year in 2021!
With Gratitude and Blessings,
Karen and all the Nagle and Mountain Magnolia Families
