“A Taste of Madness: a MadCo Community cookbook,” a project to benefit Beacon of Hope, is accepting submissions of recipes from Madison County residents.

The recipes don’t necessarily need to be Appalachian fare, but could be an old family favorite or a personal creation. No currently published and copyright protected recipes will be accepted.

Recipe submissions will also be accepted from local restaurants, stores and farms.

Submissions should include a small explanation of their origin, i.e., my Aunt Mildred’s peach pie recipe that has been handed down for generations, or a recipe for zucchini bread that was developed to adhere to a family member’s sugar-free diet.

The final product will be a PDF file, with the potential for a printed book in the future.
