2025 Fiddlin’ 5k

Like to run to music? Try running to LIVE music!

The Rotary Club of Madison County’s annual Walk/Run for the Arts Road Race takes place Saturday, May 17, 2025.

The Fiddlin’ 5K includes a beautiful run through Mars Hill University’s scenic campus, winding through surrounding country roads of rural Madison County. With several steep climbs and rolling hills, this course will give the seasoned runner a nice challenge while allowing less experienced runners a wonderful opportunity to try their feet at a run.

Adding to the experience, musicians line the course at key locations creating the backdrop to your run with fiddles, banjos, and more! Virtual participants can listen and enjoy the Fiddlin’ 5k Playlist on Spotify at open.spotify.com/playlist/3A2nIecn3waCkLiZgGvf0J.

The course starts and finishes on the beautiful Otis Duck Greenway where participants will be treated to wholesome snacks while enjoying spectacular mountain views.

Funds raised are granted to Madison County youth-based art programs. A large amount of the funds help support the amazing JAM program where youth can learn, play, and appreciate Appalachian music. Fiddlin’ 5k is proud to have raised funds to help obtain more supplies for the Madison County Middle School music program, as well as help provide art supplies for Brush Creek Elementary School.
